I saw this article which explores the top 5 insurance apps. One of these is related to the 'transformative' power of the app within the claims space. However, I'm not convinced that in the immediacy of an accident people will grab their smart phones, find the relevant apps and start the claims process.
Much more likely, in my opinion, is that technology will evolve that will sense an accident has happened and proactively try and help customers and manage the claims process.
Love to know what you think...
Claims are one area that an insurance app could greatly be of service. In fact, smartphone users can do almost all of the claims process right from their app. You can also use your phone to take pictures and shoot video right at the accident site, which can have a dramatic impact on claims management and fraud protection.
