By far the most talked about issue at the conference was technology driven change. The keynotes in the morning established the macro challenges to the insurance landscape before exploring their implications for the claims function. Speakers touched on how digital was driving change in customer expectations and how, not for the first time, insurance needs to compare its service delivery standards to other sectors, especially those of Amazon, the banks, telcos and other customer focused organisations.
